Mental Health Counseling

Mental health counseling services are available to clients in PA & DE, either in-person or virtually.
Genevieve is a National Certified Counselor and a Licensed Associate Mental Health Counselor.
I offer a safe space to clients of all backgrounds which is inclusive and culturally sensitive, rooted in an existential approach to counseling that focuses on healing the root of the issue, rather than just "solutionizing." Helping clients to live a life that is more meaningful and fulfilling is my passion, and I look forward to working together to help you create a life that is truly worth living!
Delaware Clients:
In DE, I contract through Radiant Path Mental Health in Pike Creek/Wilmington. In DE, I am able to accept the following insurance plans, as well as private pay clients: Highmark Health Options, Amerihealth Caritas, and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
DE Office Location:
3101 Limestone Rd,
Wilmington, DE 19808
Pennsylvania Clients:
In PA, I contract through The Peacemaker Center, in Kennett Square. Please note that sessions through The Peacemaker Center are private pay, as we are not in network with insurance.

PA Office Location:
227 Lafayette St

Make sure you request me by name, so you are assigned to the correct therapist!
Unfortunately, we are unable to work with clients seeking counseling (even virtually) outside of PA or DE due to licensing regulations. We appreciate your understanding!
Music Therapy

Music therapy services are available in our Kennett Square, PA location. Virtual music therapy sessions are a possibility, however in-person music therapy is much preferred as it gives clients to interact with the music in a more robust manner.
Music therapy is an evidence-based therapy that addresses cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of clients through the use of music. Clients of all musical abilities are welcome to engage in music therapy!
Genevieve is a Board-Certified Music Therapist, with additional certifications in Neurologic Music Therapy, Hospice & Palliative Care Music Therapy, and NICU Music Therapy. Genevieve serves a wide variety of populations, including inpatient and outpatient mental health needs, differently-abled children and adults, older adults, and more! Unlike traditional talk therapy, which is limited in its use with young children and those with communication differences, people of all ages and abilities can benefit from music therapy.
To book music therapy services in Kennett Square, you can request an appointment by filling out the form at this link.
When doing so, please mention my name so that you are assigned the correct therapist! Please also mention that you are specifically looking for music therapy services.
If you are looking to contract a music therapist for services with your agency or community organization, please reach out using the contact form or the info on our contact page!
In-home music therapy services may be available on a case-by-case basis. If you are in need of in-home music therapy services for you or a loved one, please reach out and we will see what we can arrange!
Behavior Consulting

Behavior consulting is parental support for managing challenging behaviors in children. Genevieve's approach to behavior consulting is more holistic than the traditional approach, with a strong focus on both the child's and the caregivers' strengths and needs.
Ideally, behavior consulting would consist of both observational periods (where the consultant observes child and parent interactions) and parent/caregiver meetings, in which the consultant provides support to the parents so that they feel better equipped to compassionately manage challenging behaviors in their children. In some cases, it may not be possible to observe child/parent interactions, and in this case, consulting will rely on parent reports of the child's behavioral patterns.
Please reach out directly if you are interested in behavior consulting services, and we can determine together the best way to book!
Reiki/Energy Healing

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses gentle touch to promote relaxation and well-being. The word "reiki" comes from the Japanese words rei, meaning universal, and ki, which loosely translates to a flow of lifeforce energy. Reiki can assist in clearing emotional blockages, and harmonizing body, mind, and spirit.
During a reiki session, a practitioner places their hands on or near the client's body to help balance their energy fields and direct energy to facilitate their own healing response. The energy knows where it is most needed- the practitioner is just the vessel!
Reiki is a complementary therapy that can assist in the healing process, but is not a substitute for seeking appropriate mental or physical health care!
Genevieve is a Level II trained reiki practitioner in the Usui/Tibetan tradition. Currently, 30-minute, 45-minute, and distance sessions are being offered.
30 minute "Express" sessions are good for a quick clearing & balancing of the energy field, or can focus on specific areas of need, rather than the entire body.
45 minute sessions provide the opportunity to delve deeper. These longer sessions are ideal for removing energetic blockages, or for those who feel out of alignment.
Both 30 minute sessions and 45 minute sessions can occur in-person (in your home) or virtually.
Distance reiki is asynchronous. After a brief conversation describing your needs, which takes place via phone, text, or email, Genevieve will perform distance reiki for your intentions. For distance reiki, you do not have to participate in an active way, and can simply go about your day! Trust that the energy will be provided to you when you need it most.
For distance reiki, the recipient must consent to receiving reiki treatment. Because of this, we kindly ask that you do not book on behalf of other people without first obtaining their consent.
